Terms & Conditions

Draft — not yet published. Effective date: TBD.

Welcome to QuickVites. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the QuickVites mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated from Honduras. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use QuickVites (16 if you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland). By creating an account, you confirm you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Events Are Between Users — Not With QuickVites

QuickVites is a platform that lets users create, discover, and RSVP to events organized by other users. We do not organize, host, supervise, or guarantee the safety of any event. Event hosts are solely responsible for their events, including venue safety, guest conduct, legal compliance, and any fees they choose to charge.

By attending or hosting an event found through QuickVites, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk, and that QuickVites is not liable for anything that happens at, before, or after an event, including but not limited to injury, property damage, or disputes between users.

5. Fees Charged by Hosts

Some hosts may indicate an entry fee for their event within the app.

TODO: clarify whether QuickVites processes any payments directly, or whether all payment arrangements happen entirely between host and guest outside the app. This section must match how the feature actually works before publishing.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you post (event details, profile picture, bio, messages, etc.). By posting content, you grant QuickVites a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to operate the Service — for example, showing your event to people you invite, or your profile picture to your friends.

You are responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the right to share it.

7. Intellectual Property

The QuickVites name, logo, and app design are the property of [Company Legal Name]. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Advertising

QuickVites is supported in part by advertising served through Google AdMob. See our Privacy Policy for details on how ad data is collected and used.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, at our discretion, with or without notice where permitted by law.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, QuickVites and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages related to events organized through the platform.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold QuickVites harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Honduras, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

TODO: confirm this matches your actual legal setup before publishing — consider whether you want a different dispute-resolution approach (e.g. arbitration) for users in other countries.
